My sweet baby boy is TEN months old (a few days ago)! It’s so funny to see him crawling, pulling up and walking along the furniture while Megan is telling Grandma on the phone, “We have a baby. He is Daniel Gareth. He has feets. He has green poop.” Thanks, Meg. Good to know. Grandma [...]

The Stork – still a smile every time
Posted in Daniel, baby, church, little things, slings on July 14, 2009 | 6 Comments »
Ok, if you haven’t seen this before, you might not have been paying attention! I LOVE this Storchenweige wrap I got not long after Daniel was born. I used it every day for the first six months and still do so regularly, at least several times a week.
And it makes my back feel great. In [...]
Three years, three months.

Three years, three months. That’s how long my body supported another life either through pregnancy or breastfeeding (first Megan and then Daniel).
But now it’s over. Daniel hasn’t nursed in several days. I’m sad because breastfeeding can be so sweet.
However, it was NOT an easy thing for me. (Click here to read my first post about [...]
How to swaddle my Daniel
Posted in Daniel, baby on March 12, 2009 | 3 Comments »
Daniel hasn’t been sleeping well – especially for naps during the day – for the past week or so. And that makes me tired.
Although I wasn’t sure, I thought it was because he kept squirming his arms out of his swaddle. But he wouldn’t go sleep without being swaddled so I tried to wrap the [...]

This’ll be a long one.
So here’s the really, really quick version if you are running short on time or don’t want to know all the wonderful details of my breastfeeding adventure:

December 2006 – Megan [...]
Why so sick?

I know we’re not the only ones sick, but I’m sick and tired of it! And I’ve been wondering why we (and everybody else) have been so sick this winter.
Current sick status: Hubby trying to avoid the doctor, baby coughing, preschooler nose runny, mama just tired and toddler fine by comparison.
Here are some of my [...]

Well, here goes, let’s see how I’ve been doing on my goals for this year! You can read my post about them here.
I HAVE been eating more vegetables! Broccoli, brussel sprouts, snap peas and carrots are my current favorites. Here’s a recipe I got off the carrot bag (and modified – I can’t seem to [...]

Well, here’s to all of you that included me in notes on facebook and on blogs – I think there’s more than 25 of you!
I have three first cousins on my dad’s side. And I thank God for you.
I have thirty-eight first cousins on my mom’s side (not counting spouses, kids, boyfriends). I think. I [...]
My love affair with slings.

Warning: This post is excessively LONG and detailed. Feel free to simply enjoy the pictures of my sweet kids if you don’t really want to know about me and slings!
How did I fall in love with slings? Well, I suppose it started back when I was born and my parents put me in a Snugli. [...]
